Demb\u00e9l\u00e9 had 5. Spain gave them nothing. Oyarzabal converted a penalty on 22, Pedro Porro added the second on 58, and that was the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was also the <strong>third time running<\/strong> Spain have knocked France out of a tournament \u2014 after the Euro 2024 semi-final and the Nations League. After dismantling France, they came all the way back in to roughly <strong>-156<\/strong> to lift the trophy. They&#8217;re the favourites, and the price says so clearly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Argentina beating England will have moved that number \u2014 but not by much. Spain will still be favoured on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Golden Boot is Messi&#8217;s to lose.<\/strong> With Mbapp\u00e9 eliminated, Messi sits at around <strong>-175<\/strong> on eight goals with one match left. Kane and Bellingham are both out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where the Value Is<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The case for Spain:<\/strong> They don&#8217;t concede. They control games nobody else can control. They&#8217;ve beaten France three times running and just did it in a semi-final without breaking sweat. If the final is played on Spain&#8217;s terms, Spain win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The case for Argentina:<\/strong> They have been second-best in basically every knockout game and are still here. Spain&#8217;s whole method is to strangle a game \u2014 but Argentina don&#8217;t need the game. They need one moment. And they have the one player in world football who can produce it from nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The honest read:<\/strong> Spain should win. The numbers overwhelmingly say Spain win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But England had a lead and a plan and 85 minutes of control, and Messi took it away in five. The market is pricing Spain like the defence is unbeatable.
